Position Title: Glazier

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
	To Perform Glazier Duties
	To Supervise and Train Glazier Helpers
	To Provide Excellent Customer Service
	To Communicate with the Shop and Front Office Staff on a Regular Basis

QUALIFICATIONS:
	A Valid Driver’s License
	An acceptable Driver’s Abstract
	An acceptable Criminal Record’s Check
	A minimum of five years experience in the Glazing Industry
	Able to do heavy lifting

TASKS:
	To take accurate measurements using a tape measure
	To cut glass, mirror, and plexiglass to size
	To install glass, screens, windows, sealed units, sliding patio doors, and steel doors
	To install hardware for windows and doors (for example: closers, hinges, etc.)
	To do weatherstripping and caulking
	To respond to emergency calls when necessary
	To supervise and train Glazier Helpers
	To report any concerns regarding a Glazier Helper’s job performance to Management as quickly as possible
	To update Management regarding the progress that the Glazier Helper is making (E.g. Is he learning new skills? Is he doing a good job? Is he following the proper Health & Safety procedures? etc.)
	To assume other duties as necessary

Adding copper to a batch of molten glass can be used to produce light blue tinted glass. However, making dark blue glass requires cobalt to be added to the batch.
