How do I know if my glass is tempered? |
There should be an etched stamp located in one of the corners marked "Tempered". When tempered glass breaks. it shatters into small relatively harmless pellet size pieces. There are no jagged edges or sharp shards. |

Can tempered glass be cut? |
No. Tempered glass is cut to size before it goes through the heating process to harden it. If you try to cut tempered glass, it will shatter. |
